Lou Knows What to Do Social Book Series

These social books show children how a young boy named Lou can be comfortable and successful in potentially challenging situations. Each Lou Knows What to Do title is written for students in grades Pre-K to 5, including those with differing developmental levels and learning styles. An excellent read for students living with autism spectrum disorders!

Sociability Books Blog

We are two speech-language pathologists who have a passion for working with children and making speech therapy fun!

We decided to create a blog that provides free resources and tips for parents and professionals. We love sharing FUNctional activities that can be completed in any time frame to promote language development, because we know it can be hard to find the "right time" to work on these skills.

A lot of coffee, sweat, and tears go into each post and content creation, so feel free to drop us a comment on the blog posts or contact form. We'd love to know how you are enjoying the resources!

Thank you for your support and we hope you find these resources helpful. Here are some freebies to show our appreciation!

Kimberly Tice, M.S, CCC-SLP has over 10 years experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as a certified special education teacher and speech-language pathologist in both New York and Florida. She has experience in providing individual and group interventions in the areas of literacy, social skills, feeding, and language in a variety of settings. In 2013, Kim opened a private practice to focus on providing social language skills intervention to children with ASD. Re-directing her efforts to being the ultimate speechie mom, she currently holds a part-time position at a charter school that primarily serves students ages 5-18 with ASD. Aside from her professional background, Kim enjoys running marathons and spending time with her family.

Venita Litvack, M.A., CCC-SLP has over 5 years experience working with individuals with  ASD as a behavioral assistant and speech-language pathologist. She has delivered several presentations at the national American Speech-Language Hearing Association Convention and has assisted research projects targeting literacy-based interventions.
